Airpods

Recently I purchased AirPods. Yes, the $159 toothbrush looking things from Apple. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with these earbuds. The sound quality is pretty good, although it is not as good as Beats. Beats are louder, and more noise canceling, but they are headphones that fully cover your ears. However, Apple made lots of things great about these earbuds.

First, the pairing. You simply open the AirPods case and place it next to your iPhone. In less than 5 seconds an image pops up and connects you to the AirPods. You don't have the hassle of going into settings and trying to connect earbuds without any success.

Second, the toggling of songs. You can set each AirPod to do certain tasks with just 2 taps on the AirPod. You tap the left ear twice, and Siri activates. You tap the right ear twice, and you can skip a song. You do have the option of changing which ear does what, for example, you can make the right ear play/pause, and you can make the left ear skip a song.

Finally, something that is really great about the AirPods is the charging. You use the lighting charger that you charge your phone with, and it charges the AirPods case. You simply put the AirPods back into the case when they are dead, and they fully recharge in roughly 15 minutes.

Something that is pretty good is how well the AirPods stay in your ear. After multiple tests, they seem to stay in through almost anything. However, when I was running, I did experience the AirPods becoming loose. I had to constantly push each one back into my ear, and occasionally Siri would activate while I was trying to push the AirPod into my ear. A little frustrating? Yes, most definitely.

All in all, is it worth the $159 AirPods?

Yes. It is.

However, if you

-Don't want to spend a lot of money on wireless earbuds, then these are not for you.

-If you don't have an Apple phone, and you don't want to set up earbuds through Bluetooth, these are not for you.

-If you lose things easily or are worried about losing your AirPods, these are not for you.

(however, if you lose one earbud, Apple will replace it for $69)

-If you are willing to pay a decent amount of money for good quality, then these are for you.

-If you own an Apple phone, and you want wireless earbuds, these are definitely for you.

Hope this helps!
